Flights at Kelowna’s airport continue to be delayed due to weather.
YLW’s departure board shows delays of 15 minutes to 2 hours for most flights tonight.
Flights arriving are also arriving late. WestJet and Air Canada pre-emptively canceled many flights on Tuesday, but only a few are listed as canceled or diverted.
Passengers are still urged to check flight status before going to the airport.

Kelowna Airport Director Sam Samadar said WestJet and Air Canada preemptively canceled a number of flights between Kelowna and Vancouver or Victoria on Tuesday.
As a result, the airport was quieter than usual Wednesday morning.
Other flights are operating relatively smoothly despite the snowfall.
“The team is doing an excellent job maintaining the runway and all associated systems.”
Samadar said flights to Calgary, Toronto and Phoenix have arrived or departed.
“What we’re asking passengers to do is to check with their airlines because some of these pre-emptive cancellations will impact today’s schedules,” he said. .
