According to the website, the team is working with Royal Caribbean to host a Taylor Swift-themed event each night of the four-day voyage.
It all started when three travel agents, Jessica Malerman, Nicole Rivera, and Shelby Reyes, were on a work trip together and were planning an affinity group cruise. Malerman happened to be wearing a Taylor Swift shirt one day, and the rest, they say, is history.
Malerman told CNBC Make It that he didn’t expect anyone to come on the fan-led cruise. Since the announcement, agents have said that demand is so high that not everyone who inquires about the cruise will be able to participate.
The trio started with a block of 50 staterooms. Currently, she has 199 rooms blocked for this voyage and expects all rooms to be booked as soon as they get through the waiting list.
“We want it to be a group where everyone enjoys each other’s company and can meet the same people over and over and make friends,” Malerman said. “Right now, it’s important to manage that demand based on our vision for travel, and we don’t want that to change.”
All details are yet to be confirmed and are subject to change. But so far, reported planned events include friendship bracelet exchanges, karaoke, dance parties, period costume themes each night, Swift trivia, and more.
Reyes said she is now focused on making the event the best it can be, as it is now guaranteed to sell out.
“We want to be successful and we want people who book in groups to know that we come together as a group for these events,” she says.
Currently, cruise itineraries include visits to: Royal Caribbean’s Private Bahamas IslandCocoCay, Nassau.
There are no age restrictions for this cruise, but guests under 21 years of age will not be assigned a room unless accompanied by an adult 21 years of age or older.
“This age restriction is waived for children, minor couples, and active duty U.S. or Canadian military personnel sailing with a parent or guardian in connecting staterooms,” the website states.
Taylor Swift will not be participating in this fan-driven experience.

Travel agency owner Kari Dillon told CNBC Make It that the response to the cruise has been so great that she will continue to run the agency for many years to come.
“This wasn’t a business goal for them. They wanted to organize it for their fans and have fun with them. I think with the three of them at the helm, that’s exactly what will happen.” I’m very confident,” Dillon says.
