Virgin Atlantic said there was no disruption to its flight plans for Saturday.
London:
The wingtip of an empty Virgin Atlantic jet collided with a stationary British Airways jet while being towed from a stand at London’s Heathrow Airport on Saturday, the airline said.
Heathrow Airport, Britain’s busiest airport, said no injuries to passengers were reported and no ongoing impact on airport operations was expected.

British Airways said in a statement: “Our aircraft has been assessed by our engineering team and we have provided a replacement aircraft to reduce the impact on our customers.”
Virgin Atlantic said the empty Boeing 787-9 had just completed a flight and was being towed to another part of the airfield when the incident occurred at Terminal 3.
A Virgin Atlantic spokesperson said: “We have launched a full and thorough investigation and our engineering team is carrying out maintenance checks on the aircraft, but the aircraft is grounded at this time.”
The airline said there would be no disruption to Saturday’s flight program.
Heathrow Airport said it was working with emergency services and two airlines following the incident.
