When Splash Works opens on May 25th, you’ll be able to ride this new raft adventure down a winding, twisting, white-water waterfall before making your way to the top of a zero-gravity 13-metre wall.
Canada’s Wonderland has announced the full lineup of events and entertainment for the 2024 season. This includes additional dates for the Canada Day long weekend fireworks show, a new exclusive Sick Kids Day fundraising event, and an additional weekend for Oktoberfest this fall.
The park, which opens for the season on May 3, is introducing a new giant boomerang waterslide called Moosehorn Falls. Moosehorn Falls was inspired by the Broad River Falls along the Moosehorn Trail in Fundy National Park, New Brunswick, within the UNESCO-designated Fundy Biosphere Region.
“We want to offer our guests a diverse experience and offer plenty of things to see and do year-round,” general manager Phil Liggett said in a news release. “Beyond roller coasters and thrill rides, we also have a 20-acre water park, two children’s areas, world-class entertainment, and seasonal events. Whether you’re a thrill seeker or a parent with young children, there’s something for everyone. But we have something for you to enjoy.”
The 2024 event lineup includes:
- Season Passholder Preview (April 21st) – Season Passholders can enjoy a special day at the park ahead of the public opening on May 3rd.
- Fireworks (May 19, June 30, additional dates: July 1, August 4, September 1) – For the first time in the park, Canada Day long weekend (June 30 and July 1) A second fireworks show will be added to the event. We will also reopen our exhibits over the Victoria Day, Citizens Day and Labor Day long weekends. Witness an explosion of light and color above the skyline, set to a vibrant soundtrack.
- Splash Works Opens (May 25) – Spend your summer poolside at our 20-acre water park and try out the new Moosehorn Falls Boomerang water slide. Enjoy 18 slides, cliff jumps, a splash pad, Lazy His River, and more.
- Celebration Canada (June 28 – July 7) – Join Canada’s Birthday Celebration with daily live music, authentic Canadian food and drink, street performers, and more. Don’t miss the fireworks on two nights, June 30th and July 1st, starting at 10pm.
- Sick Kids Day at Canada’s Wonderland (July 11). NEW – The park is proud to continue supporting SickKids through this exciting fundraiser and special park experience. A limited number of tickets will be sold, which include parking, admission, early morning ride time, and a catered lunch, with proceeds going to the hospital. Release date and details will be announced later.
- KidZfest (July 13 – July 28) – This party is perfect for families and kids. Brought to you in partnership with Treehouse, enjoy special guest appearances from your favorite TV characters, including Peppa Pig. Move your body at a dance party, enjoy interactive games, activities, live entertainment for kids, and even meet Marvel superheroes.
- Oktoberfest (September 6-8, September 13-15, September 20-22). Addition of a weekend – This popular festival will be expanded to three weekends in 2024. Guests will be treated to German-themed food, drink specials and a traditional festival band at the Medieval Fair. Enjoy classic sausages, schnitzel, Bavarian pretzels, and tall jugs of refreshing lager.
- Camp Spooky (September 28-October 27 weekend) – This family-friendly Halloween event returns with trick-or-treating, a maze, a costume parade, a live Peanuts gang show, interactive games, rides, and more .
In addition to these events, Canada’s Wonderland hosts world-class live entertainment throughout the summer, including the return of Canterbury Theatre’s Cirque Ambiente, the Victoria Falls High Divers, and the Team K9 Dog Show. Guests can look forward to performances by Snoopy and the Peanuts gang, including the new Stunt His Dive Show at Arthur’s Bay, and the Peanuts Block His Party and New Team His Charlie Brown Show at the Playhouse Theater.
All of the events and shows listed above are included in your park admission or regular season pass, currently selling for $89, plus taxes and fees of up to $9.99.
Guests with a Gold Pass have unlimited access to seasonal fun, including Halloween Haunt, which returns on select nights from September 27th to October 27th. The event includes five terrifying scare zones, hundreds of monsters, thrilling night rides, and great live entertainment. 8 mazes including thrilling new attractions. Details will be released this summer.
Then, Winterfest transforms the park into an immersive world of holiday magic on select nights from November 23, 2024 to January 4, 2025.
