Today marks the start of the first season of Modern Warfare III and Warzone. The former includes a set of new maps, the return of Gunfight, and other additions. warzone Get Urzikstan, a brand new map with a number of changes to movement, loot, and more.
The update is approximately 35 GB, but when PC players try to access it, they will see a smaller update followed by an additional download. Warzone. Some Xbox players need to install the entire game, which can be between 200 and 250 GB, rather than just the update.
Almost everyone will see an error message once the update is complete. It is written like this.
“Your data is corrupt or did not download properly. You must reset and unlock your rank to continue.”
You’ll be given a “yes” or “no” choice at this point, but you won’t be shown any other information that sounds really creepy, such as what happens if your ranks and unlocks are “reset.” Will I lose all my unlocked guns and items? Will I be sent back to level 1? Will I lose my campaign progress?
In reality, nothing like this happens. Answering “yes” will allow you to join the game, but will not reset any of its contents. However, all loadouts can be forgotten. That’s what happened to my teammates and me.
Sledgehammer is aware of this issue and states, “Players logged into Season 1 may receive a false error message that their data is corrupt. Loadouts, customizations, and certain Your settings may be reset, but rest assured that your ranks, unlocks, and purchases will not be lost.”
This is obviously a little unpleasant and frustrating, but it’s not as bad as losing unlocks or purchases. I don’t mind starting over since I had to see and work on all my loadouts anyway, but resetting killstreaks was a pain. Because I didn’t realize it until I was already in the match.
Still, it doesn’t really matter if it’s inexplicable that such an error occurs in the first place. This isn’t the first major seasonal update in Call of Duty history.
So far, aside from these issues, I’m enjoying Season 1.I haven’t played the new game much. warzone The maps are still out and the verdict is still out on both the new maps and changes to the game, but I definitely like that Gunfight is back in multiplayer, and both Meat and Greece are available as 6v6 maps. I really like it and the new Gunfight map is also very good. However, I wish they had ported older maps for this mode, including the MW19 Gunfight map.
