Axiom Mission 3 (Ax-3) successfully arrived at the International Space Station on January 20th.
On January 18, a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket took off from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida carrying a group of European astronauts, including the first from Turkey and three from ESA.
Teams from NASA, Axiom Space, and SpaceX are currently conducting an integrated operation that begins during the spacecraft’s approach to the International Space Station.
NASA will maintain mission responsibility during joint operations, which will continue while the crew is in the orbiting laboratory conducting scientific, educational, and commercial activities, and end when Dragon leaves the area of the space station.
Axiom Space Mission 3 is the third mission in which an entirely civilian crew will visit the orbiting laboratory, with astronauts staying on the ISS for approximately 14 days and working with seven astronauts already at the test site. We plan to conduct as many as 30 experiments. ISS.
