I was a little behind on it, so thankfully I was able to go on Hulu and catch up,” Bassett said. varietyMarc Malkin attended the Hulu launch event for Disney+. “This is new and surprising for him too, because he’s been a very feminine guy since the beginning, the wild card.”
Bassett, who has played Sergeant Athena Grant-Nash alongside Stark since her debut on the show in 2018, added that she only heard about the kiss after it was over.
“So I asked him, ‘How was it?’ He said, ‘When I close my eyes, everything feels the same,'” she said with a laugh.
After Thursday’s episode, Stark opened up about his character’s sexuality, saying: variety Showrunner Tim Miner called him during the third episode of the season and asked him what he thought about the storyline and making his character bisexual.
“He had already been in touch with Lou, who plays Tommy, and wanted to know he was on board before contacting me. So, without too much notice, he said, ‘This is Buck’s I think it’s the truest way to continue the story.” And I said, ‘I agree 100 percent,'” Stark said. “I think it’s well-deserved and earned, and I’m excited to have the opportunity to pass that on.”
The actor also said that the kiss didn’t go as planned, despite many discussions beforehand. “The way I felt during filming didn’t necessarily match the way I felt Buck would react. It ended up being a lot more emotional than I expected,” he said. . “But one of the joys of this job, and of being an actor, is that you just happen to find those moments and have the freedom to explore them and be with them.”
