2014 Yeti SB66 26/27.5″ Mallet
With a linkage fork, linkage seatpost, and hot little mini mallet wheel setup, this Yeti is sure to turn heads at the very least. The Teal build kit is consistent right down to the SwitchLink pivot. This is Yeti’s first pass on the now proven Switch Infinity layout. Sure, 130mm front / 160mm rear might work a little strangely on the trail, but maybe that’s the future the rest of us just don’t understand yet. Please alert his son Carl to this alien spaceship.

2001 Cannondale Super V Raven
This little look might be the scariest situation I’ve seen on a seatpost this week, but the mainframe looks solid. The Super V used a magnesium “spine” covered with a thermoplastic carbon fiber skin, cutting-edge technology at the time. The rear triangle looks a bit weak in comparison, and the head shock can only do so much to remove edges, but it’s best not to think about these things.

2012 Custom Ken Erickson/Maverick Rear
This strange combination of parts is definitely one of the most unique frames I’ve ever listed on BuySell. Because I don’t think there’s anything else like it. There’s no information on whether the rear damper still works or if it’s even a damper, but if you want a 70° seat angle and a truly innovative 69er wheel layout, this might be all you need.

1999 Ibis Bowtie
For the price of a new HD6, you can get this gorgeous 25-year-old titanium tube armature instead. Although the Bow-Ti was praised for its efficiency and light weight, the suspension’s performance left a lot to be desired in terms of riding over bumps and not jumping over bars. Either way, this is a beautiful piece of cycling history that I always end up staring at when I come across it in nature.

$239 sticker kit
It’s hard to put a price on nostalgia, but this PB user gave it his all. For just a few hundred dollars, you can relive his late 90’s BMX dreams with new old stock stickers.

2002 Nicolai Nucleon DH Reproduction Frame
Brian sent this pig to me, probably because he has been looking for it himself for the past few months and wants someone else to buy it so he won’t be tempted again.
This bike was part of Nikolai’s ISPO DuPont BrandNew Award in 2002, and its visually impressive manufacturing techniques and impact packaging really demonstrate its capabilities. The in-frame Rohloff hub drivetrain was one of his first solid attempts at a gearboxed DH bike, and also has the advantage of having user-serviceable parts over existing systems. He performed reasonably well on the world stage, finishing 23rd at that year’s World Championship and performing well throughout the season.
This period-accurate vehicle, while not strictly original equipment, is a visual keepsake to ride. But if you believe strongly enough, it might work.

2020 SE Fixie with Bafang mid-drive motor
If the visceral excitement of zipping through traffic on a track bike with no brakes isn’t enough for you, this modified fixie might just give you the kick you need to feel something again. I commute around town on a stationary bike, and the idea of a pedal-assist system pushing me faster and faster to my cadence redline is a nightmare. It’s hard to tell from the photo, but it has a freewheel, so I’m optimistic that I won’t dislocate my hip trying to power-skid against Bafang’s ruthless power.

With so many attractive options, it can be difficult to choose. Luckily, they’re all still for sale, so as soon as you figure out how to ship your homemade electric bike, follow your heart’s desire and roll one of these beauties to your local trailhead. I can.
