Fresh off his win at WrestleMania 40, WWE star Damian Priest has signed a full-fledged representation contract with Paradigm. variety I have been studying exclusively.
Paradigm will work on building businesses in a variety of areas including books, acting, marketing, and unscripted. Priest, whose real name is Luis Berrios (Martinez), recently signed a Money in the Bank contract with Drew McIntyre, who himself had just won the title from Seth Rollins, on the second night of WrestleMania 40. He cashed in and won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Priest was born in New York, but grew up in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico until the age of 11. There he developed an interest in professional wrestling and martial arts. He began his career on the independent circuit, including a stint in Ring of Honor.
He joined WWE’s developmental brand NXT in 2018 under the name Damian Priest. He won the NXT North American Championship during his time there and was promoted to WWE’s main roster in 2021.
He debuted at the 2021 Royal Rumble and won a tag team match against world-famous musician Bad Bunny at WrestleMania 37 later that year. It was also that year that he defeated Sheamus at SummerSlam to win the United States Championship.
In 2022, Priest became a member of The Judgment Day, a villainous stable originally founded by Adam Edge Copeland. Priest is currently the leader of a group that also includes WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, as well as Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, and J.D. McDonough. He and Balor are two-time Undisputed Tag Team Champions.
Priest then faced Bad Bunny at WWE Backlash in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 2023. The match was widely praised and became the highest-grossing WWE event ever held in Puerto Rico. Shortly thereafter, Priest won the 2023 Money in the Bank ladder match and was subsequently crowned Senor Money in the Bank, leading to his current championship reign.
