It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Dale passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at the age of 70, surrounded by his family.th Year.
Devoted husband of Lois (nee Cliff) and loving father of Adam (Mary Ann) of Picton, Ontario and Devon Venne (Joey) of Ottawa, Ontario. Grandfather of Kinsley and Bennett Bucket. Son of Betty and the late Clayton Bucket. He is the brother of Mark (Sharon) and Julie Tridico (Enzo) of Penticton, British Columbia. Brother-in-law of John Cliff (Lynn). Son-in-law of the late Jean and Cedric Cliff. Uncle of Nicole David (Zach), Nathan Buckett (Desi), Caleb Cliff, Caitlin Saad (Fouad) and Avery Tridico.
Dale was a man of few words, but his passion for music remained throughout his life. He was often seen strumming his guitar and enjoying melodies that brought comfort and joy. Although Dale was a self-proclaimed family man, he was always willing to hike in the woods and always had his camera at the ready to capture the beauty of creation’s simplest wonders.
His memory remains in our hearts, reminding us to appreciate the music of life, the beauty of nature, and God’s promise of a better future.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the medical teams involved, Dr. Buhner in Palliative Care, Dr. Rasouli, Lawson, and Jenn in the Sue Cancer Clinic for their kindness and concern. We would also like to thank Dr. Kanil, Dr. Wetter, and Dr. Gaudet at the Ottawa Hospital for their special efforts and care. Thank you to Bayshore Nurses Marianne and Cassandra for providing home care over the past year. We have also come to realize how wonderfully our community is served by Dale’s ARCH, where she received the most compassionate care during her final days.
In accordance with Dale’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.
