Federal prosecutors on Friday announced criminal charges against three Iranians in connection with recent hacking and other cyberattacks against Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s campaign.
According to the indictment filed, three “malicious cyber actors” employed by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps conducted a “widespread campaign” that also targeted current and former government officials, members of the media, and non-governmental organizations. engaged in a “hacking campaign”. in federal court in Washington, DC.
