Dominic West and Prince Harry are no longer on speaking terms – and the actor has revealed why.
“In a sense, we [lost touch because] “I said too much in the press conference, so I didn’t say anything after that,” the “Crown” actor explained on the Dec. 24 episode of Times Radio’s “Sunday Morning.” Per US Weekly.
West, who plays Charles III in the Netflix series, was further pressed by host Kate McCann to elaborate on his fractured friendship with the Duke of Sussex.
He explained that their rift occurred a year after he returned from the 2013 Walking with the Wounded charity event, a trans-Antarctic trip with wounded veterans.
The actor did not provide further details, but seemed to be referring to comments he made at a 2014 press conference.
“[Harry] West, 54, exclaimed at the time, according to US Weekly. “He seemed to specialize in building toilets. He built this amazing castle structure using blocks to keep out the wind. [toilet] roll holder. ”

Reflecting on his past comments on Sunday, the “Wire” actor added, “I think we were asked what we did.”

West, who has been on The Crown since Season 5, added that their friendship ended “over 10 years ago” and that he was unable to ask Harry, 39, for advice on how to play Charles. He explained.
Earlier this month, West also revealed that his son Senan West had stopped playing young Prince William on the show.
