The Galaxy S24 series, which debuted just a few weeks ago, may offer the “flagship of Android flagships,” but that doesn’t mean it’s without its problems.
Shortly after its launch, S24 users began complaining that the phone’s display seemed washed out. Samsung initially defended the phone, saying that’s what it was supposed to look like. But it soon promised a “vividness slider” that would fix the problem in the next update.

But now another problem arises. The first thing I pointed out was android police, Hundreds of users on Reddit have complained that their phone’s screen has a grainy texture or unsightly horizontal bars, especially on dark or gray backgrounds. According to users, this problem did not occur on older devices with lower resolutions.
A user reported visiting a local Samsung store and experiencing the same issue with a phone on display. In other words, this problem is not strictly limited to a small number of cases.
This issue doesn’t prevent you from using the phone, but it’s quite concerning for a $1,300 device.
Given that several users have reported having their devices replaced by Samsung due to this issue, it’s likely a hardware issue.
