The number of new coronavirus infections in the past week was highest among people aged 20 to 64 at 40.1%, followed by people aged 65 and over at 38.7%.

“Current wastewater analysis shows that COVID-19 levels are trending upward in multiple study areas across the state, with the exception of the southeast region, where virus levels have remained low in recent weeks. “is shown,” the report says.
According to the report, one death due to COVID-19 was reported in the past two weeks.
The number of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infections has remained stable over the past four weeks, the report said.
“The RSV test positivity rate for the most recent monitoring week was 6.8 percent and 6.5 percent for the period ending January 27, 2024,” the report said.
Over the past two weeks, hospitalizations in the state have decreased by 12.3%, from 244 to 214, according to the report.
The number of weekly emergency department visits for respiratory illnesses also decreased from 19.6 to 15.0.
The report also shows that the school absentee rate increased from 9.8% to 12.8% in two weeks.
