Another week passed and there was another recall in Ontario.
Residents are encouraged to check their homes for household items and foods that may pose health risks to themselves and their children, including falls, burns, entrapments, and allergic reactions.
Here’s what’s being recalled for the week of April 14th through April 21st:
Turquaz Linen 100% Turkish Cotton Hooded Terry Kids Bathrobe
Bathrobes are available in a variety of colors and sizes. The product code is located on the inside of the garment label.
The following products are subject to the recall:
- 2040LAV—Lavender, Size: S-XL
- 2040PNK—Pink, Size: S – XL
- 2040RBL—Royal Blue, Size: S to XL
- 2040TUR—turquoise blue, size: S to XL
- 2040WHT—White, Size: S to XL
Health Canada testing has found that children’s sleepwear products do not meet required flammability standards, posing an increased risk of severe burns.
Additionally, loose-fitting sleepwear can catch fire more easily from household sources such as stove elements or candles than tight-fitting clothing.
The company reported that 810 affected products were sold in Canada from May 2015 to February 2024.

Kinderfeets hanging gym products
The following Kinderfeet hanging gym products are part of the recall.

- Kinderfeets Trapeze with ring—UPC:850007036515
The problem with this product is that the rope can break unexpectedly during use.
The company reported that approximately 400 affected products were sold in Canada from August 2023 to March 2024.

This portable screenless speaker is suitable for children ages 3 to 12.
Play audiobooks, music, radio, and podcasts using your Yoto card.
The speaker can be identified by its light gray color with orange controls and pixelated display, with the model name Yoto Mini and SKU PRPLXX00860, and a serial number on the base.
The Yoto Mini comes with a charging cable but not an adapter, and is being recalled due to safety concerns.
The problem is that the speaker’s lithium-ion battery can overheat and cause a fire.
The company reported that from November 2021 to November 2023, 19,721 affected products were sold in Canada and 251,165 in the United States.
risk: There is a risk of burns or fire.
What you should do: Stop using the recalled speaker and contact Yoto to receive a free replacement smart charging cable.
As of April 1, 2024, the company has not received any reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the U.S., the company has received six reports of batteries overheating or melting, but none have been reported. injury.

Mowi Brand Norwegian Atlantic Salmon – Cold Smoked
The batch below is part of the recall.
- Norwegian Atlantic Salmon – Cold Smoked in 113 Gram Size, UPC: 8 19693 02546 3. All units sold from March 27, 2024 to April 10, 2024.
This fish contains a microbial contaminant called Clostridium botulinum.
Food contaminated with Clostridium botulinum toxin may not show signs of spoilage, but it can still cause illness. Symptoms in adults include facial paralysis, unresponsive pupils, difficulty swallowing, drooping eyelids, blurred or double vision, and speech problems such as slurred speech or voice changes. Children may experience difficulty swallowing, slurred speech, weakness, and numbness. Botulism does not cause fever, but severe cases can be fatal.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is currently conducting a food safety investigation in light of the possibility of additional product recalls.
According to Health Canada, the CFIA ensures that the industry proactively removes recalled products from the market.
risk: Ingestion may cause health problems.

Cool Kitchen brand veggie burger
The batch of burgers below is part of the recall.
- Cool Kitchen’s veggie burger is 476 grams in size. UPC: 651539200944. All codes that do not list gluten on the label.
Hamburgers are being recalled from the market because they contain gluten, which is not listed on the label.
risk: Health damage.
What you should do: People with allergies or sensitivities should avoid consuming the recalled hamburgers as they can cause serious or life-threatening reactions.
