Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ are the first in the number series to officially feature a telephoto lens. The duo is being launched in India for the first time, and both models feature luxurious models developed in collaboration with Swiss watchmaker Olivier Sabeo.
The 12 Pro features a classic 2x optical zoom for portrait shots, and the 12 Pro+ is the company’s first phone to feature a periscope lens in front of the telephoto camera.
Realme 12 Pro
The 12 Pro features a 6.7-inch OLED panel with curved sides. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and up to 240Hz touch sampling rate. The chipset is Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 with 2.2 GHz CPU and Adreno 710 GPU.
The Realme 12 Pro inherits the 5,000 mAh battery from the 11 Pro, and the cell supports 67W SuperVOOC charging. According to official information, it can reach 50% in 19 minutes, and it only takes 48 minutes to fully charge the entire battery.
The 50 MP main camera features OIS and a 1/2 inch size Sony IMX882 sensor. The 2x telephoto camera is equipped with a 32 MP Sony IMX709 imager with a size of 1/2.74 inches.
Finally, there’s an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and a 16 MP selfie shooter.
The phone ships with Android 14 and Realme UI 5.0 out of the box. Both color variants feature vegan leather casebacks (still made of plastic), and while the blue one may suggest a connection to the famous brand Rolex, there is no such partnership. The official names of the options are Submariner Blue and Navigator Beige.
Realme 12 Pro comes in two memory variants, both with 8GB RAM. The 128 GB version is priced at INR 25,999 ($310/€290), while the 256 GB option is priced at INR 26,999 ($325/€300). The early access sale starts today at 6pm (6:30pm Japan time) and offers INR2,000 off ($24/€22).
Realme 12 Pro+
The Plus version has the same 6.7-inch OLED panel with 950 nits peak brightness and a 5,000 mAh battery with 67W charging. This is technically a downgrade from the previous model’s 100W rate.
However, the Realme 12 Pro+ is powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip, paired with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage.
Equipped with a Sony IMX890 sensor, the 12 Pro+’s 50 MP main camera is the same as the Realme GT3 and GT5, but with a larger f/1.8 aperture than its premium sibling.
Next, there’s a 64 MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom (71mm equivalent), f/2.6 aperture, OIS, and a 1/2-inch OV64B sensor by OmniVision. The 8 MP ultra-wide camera is shared with the regular 12 Pro. , the selfie camera has been upgraded to a 32 MP Sony sensor.
The phone also comes with Android 14 and Realme UI 5.0 and comes in Submariner Blue and Navigator Beige colors. Indian customers will also get a limited version called Explorer Red.
