According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Trudeau is scheduled to visit the Caribbean country with his immediate family from December 26 to January 4.
Jamaica is also where Trudeau and his family spent some time after last Christmas while traveling to British Columbia for their summer vacation this August.
Prime Minister Sophie Grégoire Trudeau plans to travel with him after they announced earlier this year that they were separating after 18 years of marriage.
At the time, the Prime Minister’s Office said Canadians could expect to see their families together, and both sides said in separate statements that they would remain close.
The agency said it consulted the Federal Ethics Commission ahead of the trip, and the family will pay for their stay and travel on a government plane.
