The flagship vivo X100 series is now officially on sale in China, and two phones are offered: X100 and X100 Pro. These are the first phones to be announced with MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9300 chipset, and they also come with impressive cameras, highlighted by a periscope Zeiss APO lens, his Zeiss APO 100mm equivalent on the X100 Pro. Both X100 phones feature a curved 6.78-inch 8T LTPO AMOLED display with 1260p resolution, 10-bit color, and 1-120Hz refresh rate. Apochromatically corrected zoom lens optics align the green, blue, and red colors to the same focal plane. This improves clarity and reduces fringing at contrast edges. The new floating periscope module features an f/2.57 aperture and 100mm equivalent focal length, with 4.3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom.
The third module is a 15mm equivalent ultra-wide-angle lens with an f/2.0 aperture. All three lenses feature a T* lens coating that claims to reduce reflectance by 50% compared to the previous vivo X90 series. The X100 Pro is also equipped with vivo’s latest 6nm V3 imaging chip, which handles 4K movie portrait video recording and processing.
The X100 combines a custom 50MP IMX920 main sensor (f/1.57 aperture) with a 64MP 1/2-inch sensor telephoto sensor with 3x zoom and OIS. The third shooter on the back is a 15mm equivalent 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens. All three cameras on the X100 have T* lens coatings.
Both vivo X100 phones can be configured with up to 16GB LPDDR5T RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. Boot the latest OriginOS 4 based on Android 14.
In terms of battery, the vivo X100 has a 5,000 mAh battery and 120W fast charging, while the X100 Pro has a slightly larger 5,400 mAh cell with 100W charging support and 50W wireless fast charging. Both phones are IP68 water and dust resistant and feature an IR blaster, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity.
The vivo X100 and vivo X100 Pro are available in black, white, blue, and orange colors. X100 starts with 3,999 yuan ($548) For 12/256GB trim, the highest is 5,099 yuan ($700) For options with 16GB LPDDR5T RAM and 1TB storage.
