Pedro Pascal shares his insights on how he learns scripting and has a unique method of doing so.
Pascal spoke about this method of learning lines during a recent roundtable with nominees for the SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series.
In a video call that also included Billy Crudup, Matthew Macfadyen and Kieran Culkin, Pascal said: “I’m sure I can give you a psychotic physical example of what I have to do right now to remember my lines.” I’m doing it,” he said. “It’s like the first letter of every word is Psycho. You see the letters, right? Basically, I’m the Unabomber.”
He continued: “I think these towers and pillars use the first letter of each, which is a very boring way to force yourself to learn the lines so you don’t make a choice. It’s not even artistic, it’s a really technical method that I had to learn because of the terrible experience of forgetting my lines.”
It seems Pascal will continue to use this method of learning lines. fantastic four, the Marvel movie was recently confirmed to star as Reed Richards in Mr. Fantastic. The actor will also share the screen with Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.
