As anticipation builds for this month’s Galaxy Unpacked event, important decisions regarding the Samsung Galaxy S24 smartphone have been revealed.
Following the launch of Samsung’s Exynos 2400 chipset, the Korean company plans to offer the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ with either its own Exynos chipset or Qualcomm’s customized “Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 For Samsung”.
This decision left the community in crisis. This mixed chipset approach (depending entirely on which chipset you receive depending on where you buy your new smartphone) is one of the approaches that Samsung has traditionally used. Used in many Galaxy S series. In these cases, Snapdragon-powered devices offered better performance and durability than his Exynos-powered devices with similar specifications.
Early benchmarks revealed while testing various S24 and S24+ handsets showed Exynos handsets lagging behind Snapdragon handsets. This was in late October, and he has more than two months left for Samsung to optimize the device and further boost the silicon’s performance.
Geekbench benchmarkPresumably on final hardware and release software, the Galaxy S24+ shows an increase of 6.1 percent in single-core operation and 5.8 percent in multi-core operation. Geekbench numbers also show improvements of 2.8 percent and 4.4 percent for Snapdragon devices from late October.
Samsung’s Exynos chipset is getting closer to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon, but the latter is still the stronger choice. Samsung’s decision to run two different versions of it is likely to remain a point of contention for those in the community who want the best possible performance from their new flagship phones.
The Galaxy S24 family, including the S24 Ultra and S-Pen, is scheduled to launch at the “Galaxy Unpacked” event on January 17th.
