Following recent leaks of Motorola’s Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Fusion, today we complete the trio of upcoming devices with a leak of the range’s top model, the Edge 50 Ultra.
The Edge 50 Pro will be officially announced on April 3rd, and the latest rumors on the subject suggest that the Edge 50 Fusion may also join it. Interestingly, the Edge 50 Ultra render you see below also shows his April 3rd date on the screen, like the others. This could mean all three devices are scheduled to be introduced next week. However, April 3rd is next Wednesday, and these renderings say “Tuesday, April 3rd,” so you may still want to take it with a pinch of salt.
The Edge 50 Ultra is said to use the just-announced Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, which is essentially a “lite” version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 that launched last year. The Edge 50 Ultra will be touted to have three cameras on the back, all 50 MP, with a 12mm ultrawide and a 72mm periscope, possibly with 3x optical zoom.
This setup also features laser autofocus and multiple LED flashes. Available in 3 colors: light beige, black, and peach fuzz. The black model appears to feature a faux leather finish, and the peach fuzz model may follow the same path. The light beige version, on the other hand, has a continuous finish across the back that blends seamlessly into the raised camera island.
The handset has a touchscreen with curved sides. The Edge 50 Ultra is set to debut Motorola’s new Android skin called Hello UI, which promises three major Android updates. Apparently, the price of Edge 50 Ultra should be $999. By the way, it is very likely that it will be rebranded as Motorola Edge+ 2024 or Edge Ultra 2024 in the US.
