Jimmy John’s is headquartered in Champaign, Illinois, in the Midwest and was founded in 1983. Inspired Brands acquired the successful multi-unit franchise from founder Jimmy John Liautaud in 2019.
The chain is known for its sandwiches, which are served on three types of bread: French, sliced wheat, and tortilla-style wraps. We also make lettuce-wrapped sandwiches called “Unwich.” The store advertises that its bread is baked fresh on the spot every day and can even be toasted.
Toppings include traditional meats, cheeses, and vegetables in a variety of combinations and sizes. On the menu, the “original” option is one protein, while the “giant” option is five proteins.
Sandwiches can be ordered at the restaurant, for pickup or delivery, or if drive-thru is available. The chain offers mobile in-app ordering and a loyalty rewards program.

The first franchisor agreement to bring Jimmy John’s to Canada has just been signed, and there’s no word yet on which markets Foodtastic intends to focus on or where its first store will be.
