Motorola announced Edge+ (2023) in May, which was joined by Edge (2023), which arrived over a month ago.
Motorola Edge (2023) is powered by Dimensity 7030 SoC and comes in a single 8GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration. The smartphone boots Android 13, but it’s unclear how many years it will receive software updates.
The Motorola Edge (2023) is built around a 6.6-inch 144Hz pOLED display with support for 10-bit color and HDR10+. The panel has a touch sampling rate of 360Hz and a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. Below that there is also a fingerprint reader for biometric authentication. Center punch hole for authentication and 32MP selfie camera.
The frame of the Motorola Edge (2023) is made from sandblasted aluminum, and the caseback is made from soft vegan leather. It has a flash and two cameras – 50MP primary (with OIS) and 13MP ultrawide (120° FOV). The latter allows macro photography using the Macro Vision feature.
Motorola Edge (2023) has a 4,400 mAh battery with 68W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. Other highlights of the smartphone include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos tuning, NFC, IP68 rating, and USB-C.
