Hank Azaria remembering his old friend Matthew Perry –Looking back on their long relationship, the late actor reveals how he got sober.
The famous “Simpsons” voice actor — who actually guest-starred opposite the congressman on several episodes of “Friends” — posted a long video over the weekend in which he spoke about Matt’s sudden death. and said how heartbreaking it was, seeing how close they were.
Hank says his relationship with Matt goes back a long way. Apparently, the two co-starred in the pilot for the series, but it was never picked up…and they’ve been good buddies since day one in showbiz.
He also says that Matthew was the one who took him to AA meetings in the first place, but he also says that he wanted Matt to stick to himself… pointing out the guy. There is I suffered a lot from addiction. Years later, that became clear to Hank in Perry’s memoir.
HA had so many kind words for Matt here…and it’s touching to hear his reminiscences. He says he felt he lost his friends to drugs and alcohol a long time ago. But that doesn’t make his death any more difficult. That sentiment is definitely shared by others.
TMZ reported the article… Perry Died at home near Los Angeles Saturday after apparently drowning during the day. He was reportedly found unconscious in a hot tub on the property.
There are still many unknown details about the exact circumstances of this tragedy…as evidenced by the fact that the Los Angeles County Coroner is not yet ready to rule on the incident. official cause of death not yet. Although there were several prescriptions in the house, no illegal drugs were found. The coroner conducted toxicology tests, but results will take at least six weeks.
