Israeli actor Gal Gadot has come under fire after reportedly organizing a screening of graphic footage collected from Israel after the October 7th Hamas attack. The audience will include Hollywood celebrities from Los Angeles and New York.
At the event, a 47-minute uncensored video titled “Witness to the October 7th Massacre” will be screened in its entirety. The clip was collected by the Israel Defense Forces and was reportedly already shown to British journalists in London last week.
The Jewish Chronicle reported that about 120 Hollywood celebrities have been invited to the first screening, which will be hosted by Gal. According to YNet, more screenings may be scheduled. Video shooting and the use of telephones during the event are strictly prohibited.
Oscar-winning director Guy Natif is believed to have led efforts to release the film in the United States. “Gal Gadot and her husband Yaron Varsano helped make this happen,” he previously said, according to Newsweek, but screening dates and guest list were not disclosed.
Hamas militants invaded Israeli towns and fired missiles, reportedly killing hundreds of innocent people on October 7th. In a televised address at the time, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the attack “murderous.”
Perhaps the worst attack was launched at a music festival in Israel. The group was thrown into chaos when terrorists attacked the scene, killing at least 260 people and abducting many more. Thousands of people attended the party near Kibbutz Rem, near Gaza. Palestinian armed groups attacked the scene and shot dead those who tried to flee.
