Marvel Studios has not only announced a new release date for Fantastic Four: July 25, 2025, but also stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, and Ben Grimm. They also announced the big news that Ebon Moss-Bachrach will be playing the role. Sing, Joseph Quinn plays Johnny Storm.
Marvel Studios shared big news X/Twitter It comes with a great poster of all these characters celebrating Valentine’s Day together. A nice touch also includes the adorable robot HERBIE, and the wall also includes an image of Ben Grimm, played by Moss Bachrach, as his NASA astronaut before becoming The Thing.
Casting rumors for Fantastic Four have been some of the loudest in the Marvel world, and now we finally have an answer. It has also been revealed that John Krasinski, who played Reed Richards in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, will not be reprising his role for the film…at least not in the lead role. You never know about the multiverse.
Pascal, who has built up an impressive resume with roles in The Last of Us, The Mandalorian and Game of Thrones, was reported to be reprising his role in November 2023. But it turned out to be true.
The Fantastic Four is part of the MCU’s ongoing Phase 5 and has been in the works for some time. Matt Shukman will direct, and Josh Friedman is said to have been brought in to rewrite the script originally written by Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer.
We don’t know much about this movie, but we do know that it’s not an origin story and that it’s partly inspired by It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. This is how Shakman has worked on projects such as Succession, Game of Thrones, Mad Men, The Boys, and Fargo, as well as serving as the show’s director and executive producer. It is something that follows.
