Christopher Reeve’s children have revealed that they have not seen The Flash and were not involved in approving CGI Superman’s cameo in the film.

All three confirmed they had not seen The Flash and were not involved in the Superman actor’s digital recreation of the film.
The 1984 Supergirl movie spin-off was released around the time Christopher Reeve was starring in the Man of Steel movies, and featured Helen Slater’s Kara Zor-El as Kal-El’s cousin. One thing was recognized. However, the two Kryptonians did not share the screen until The Flash. In one of the worlds depicted in the film’s climactic Chrono Bowl scene, a digital recreation of Reeve’s Superman appears alongside Slater’s Supergirl.
The cameo sparked some anger among fans, with Reeve echoing his role as Superman in four films in the ’70s and ’80s, starting with 1978’s Superman: The Movie. Many speculated that he was reluctant to take the shot. Multiple interviews with Reeve have resurfaced, He died in 2004 at the age of 52.shared their aversion to taking on repetitive roles for pay, prioritizing “integrity of work.”
Although Reeve’s role as Superman was a big part of his legacy, Will Reeves revealed that it wasn’t the role his late father was most proud of. He said his standout role was playing Congressman Jack Lewis in the 1993 film adaptation of The Remains of the Day, even if it wasn’t a “big role.”
“In our hometown in Bedford, New York… our local movie theater rebranded a few years ago,” Will said. “The person in charge of that shift contacted me and said he’d love to show my dad’s movie of my choice. I said, ‘Of course, but not Superman. I’m going to do Remains of the Day. ‘He was very proud of his role in that movie. It’s not a big role, but it’s an important one in the movie.
“He had to show a completely different side of himself,” Reeves continued. “I knew how proud he was of it. It’s not that he’s not proud of Superman, but if he were here, he wouldn’t have chosen Superman and would’ve said, I would choose “The Remains.”
Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, but a release date has not yet been set.
