Whatever you do, don’t look up. Following today’s victory on Malebelon Creek, Helldivers players are making a surprising discovery on the planet of automatons. It looks like a gunship wearing a huge cloak is waiting in the sky. What are you waiting for? I’m scared to know that.
The development first reached my desk via Redditor infinity_cube. Published screenshot Shows some angles of the anomaly. It’s very easy to miss when you’re running around shooting robots, but if you look closely, the shape comes into focus.user Firestorm_361 and spartas 72 Camouflaging the distant planet’s rings allowed us to see the object even better.
I traveled to the same planet as Firestorm and saw the ship myself. As far as I can see, these ships appear in the sky in pairs and are harmless so far. I briefly traced the ships I saw, but even when zoomed in, it was difficult to make out the details.

I’m sure. The automaton gunship that Super Earth warned us about isn’t just “in development.” They’re already here, and they’re bigger than I imagined. These aren’t just dropships with guns. A new type of aerial threat in Helldivers 2, and perhaps the biggest enemy in the game so far. My question is, when they are finally ready to attack, will they descend to our level or attack from low orbit? I hope it’s not the latter, because air strikes can’t do anything against a ship that high up.
Reports of cloaked ships have been received from all currently available automaton planets. We will update this story as it develops.
