The county attorney’s office announced that one of the county’s law clerks has passed the California bar exam at the age of 17.
The Tulare County District Attorney’s Office announced this week that Peter Park is the youngest person to pass the exam, according to an investigation.
The state court said in an email to The Associated Press on Friday that it could not confirm that Park was the youngest, but praised his accomplishments.
“Passing the California Bar Exam is a major accomplishment at any age, and for a young person like Mr. Park, it is a quite extraordinary accomplishment and one worth celebrating,” said Leah Wilson, Executive Director. “That’s true,” he said.
Park took the exam in July and received her test results on Nov. 9, according to a news release issued this week by the district attorney’s office.
“It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it,” Park said in a statement.
According to the firm, Park entered high school at Oxford Academy in Cypress, California, in 2019 at the age of 13, and at the same time completed a college-level proficiency exam before attending Northwestern California University School of Law for four years. launched a J.D. program.
Park took the state high school proficiency test and graduated from high school in 2021, then concentrated on law school and graduated this year. He became a law clerk at the district attorney’s office in August, turned 18 in late November, and was sworn in as a lawyer on Tuesday.
