Anthony Kim has grown rapidly golf Career until age 26.
He is a multiple-time winner on the PGA Tour, rose to No. 6 in the world rankings, and competed on winning Team USA in the 2008 Ryder Cup and 2009 Presidents Cup.
but then he disappeared. A series of serious injuries left his body in pieces, and he was rarely seen in public.
Until the beginning of this year, Kim had been away from golf for 12 years. Surprise return to competitive activityfeatured the LIV Golf Tour, which made a comeback to a sport it nearly cracked more than a decade ago.
For the first time since his return, Kim opened up about his sudden disappearance from golf, explaining that some people around him were damaging his career.
“I’m not going to lie, I’ve been around some bad people,” Kim said in an interview. Interview with LIV’s David Feherty.
“The people who took advantage of me. The scammers. And when they’re 24, 25, even 30, they don’t realize there’s a snake living under their roof.”
And Kim would know about living with animals. In his interview, he explained that there was a time when he didn’t leave the house and watched a lot of reality TV, and at one point he lived with six dogs and two monkeys.
He also said he got rid of “about 98 percent” of the people around him during his first foray into golf in an attempt to rebuild his life.
Kim also detailed the extent of her injury problems, saying she had multiple surgeries on her Achilles tendon and shoulder, as well as hand surgery and spinal fusion surgery.
The three-time PGA Tour winner talked about how a combination of injuries and external factors weighed on him during that time.
“Golf is both important and unimportant to me,” Kim said. “There were some very dark moments. There were times when I was very depressed.
“I’ve felt so alone even when there’s a million people around me. I had to get my heart right and understand what my purpose was on this earth.”

Last month, Kim returned to the sport for the first time since May 2012, finishing last at LIV Golf’s third event of the season in Saudi Arabia. Kim said he had offers to return to the PGA Tour before choosing to sign with LIV instead.
The 38-year-old shot 16 over par and finished last out of 53 players after 54 holes. Despite the performance his honest assessment Kim said she was overall “encouraged” to be back on the course.
The American believes that his wife and the birth of his daughter helped him return to normalcy and take the first steps towards a return to golf.
The whole journey was one of rediscovery for Kim, in which he had to sort out what his true passion was. And to his surprise, golf featured prominently on his list.
“So I have an interesting relationship with golf. I don’t think I ever liked it. What’s so strange to me now is that I’m obsessed with this game,” he said.
“It’s a very strange place for me because golf was full of pressure and my family had to go through a lot to give me the opportunity to play golf, so golf meant a lot to me. So, with the added pressure, I was willing to take more risks. That was my nature. I was aggressive on the golf course, I was aggressive off the golf course. . And that led to my death.”
