The first week of October belonged to Adam Copeland. The wrestling world has had enough of “The Rated R Superstar” since he showed up at AEW Wrestle Dream, officially joining AEW and effectively ending his 25-year relationship with WWE. has not been completed. And while it seems like every detail of Copeland’s AEW debut has been recorded, AEW has decided to give fans a behind-the-scenes look at his memorable first appearance. At X, AEW posted footage of Copeland recapping his debut, both in the hours leading up to his on-camera appearance and afterwards. While waiting in the locker room, Copeland tried to sum up his emotions.
“I feel like a little kid,” Copeland said. “I feel like I felt the first time I wrestled. I can’t believe I’m a 31-year veteran now.” Copeland then spoke about the video that was aired before his entrance, noting that Copeland is a longtime friend. Footage was also shown of him hugging Dax Harwood and interacting with AEW referee Mike Posey, and he spoke about his elation at how his vision came to fruition. After discussing his excitement to compete in AEW, footage of Copeland returning backstage was shown, where he continued to exchange words.

“It was a lot of fun,” Copeland said. “I told someone that I felt free outside. I’ve always said, when I go out, I try to throw as much energy as I can into the crowd. I hope they give it back, and that’s what we do.”
