Billie Eilish is embarrassed that she had to come out in the first place after revealing her sexuality in a revealing interview.
The pop star admitted that she came out unintentionally in an interview with Variety magazine. A question of female power – but only because she thought her sexuality was already “obvious.”
“I was like, ‘Oh, that makes sense.’ I didn’t know that people didn’t know,” she told reporters at Variety’s Hitmaker event on Saturday, Dec. 2. She said, “I don’t really believe in that. I’m like, ‘Why can’t we just exist?’
“I’ve been doing this work for a long time and I just didn’t talk about it. Whoops.”
inside November 13th Cover Story, bad guy The hitmaker admitted he is attracted to women and said he has a “deep connection” to the women in his life.
“I love them so much. I love them as people. I’m drawn to them as people. I’m really drawn to them,” she said.
“I’m physically attracted to them. But I’m also very intimidated by them and their beauty and presence.”
After witnessing fans’ enthusiastic response to her words, Eilish said, “I thought, ‘Wow, I was able to come out today.'”
“Yeah, that’s great. It’s exciting for me because I don’t think people knew, but it’s great that they know,” she continued. “I’m on the girls’ side.”
In addition to completely convincing her queer fanbase with the article, Eilish also commented on her own femininity, saying that she found it difficult to identify as a feminine person.
“To be honest, I’ve never felt like a woman. I’ve never felt desirable. I’ve never felt feminine. I told myself I was a pretty girl. I have to convince you.
“I consider myself a ‘girlfriend’ and do things like that, but I’ve never felt like a girl.”
During the Hitmakers event, Eilish was asked again if her views on other women had changed since coming out, to which she replied, “I’m still scared of them, but I think they’re cute!” .
