A new “movement” on doping may be on the horizon, and it’s probably one you weren’t expecting.this week’s GCN showDan Lloyd and Cee Richardson have submitted two medical reports that appear to have discovered new ways to improve performance.
The answer lies not in blood transfusions, drugs, or the lesser-known form of athletic doping, but in human feces. Human poop could be the next frontier for performance enhancement in cycling.
Human fecal transplants have been used for many years to treat chronic C Diff infections, and the goal is to improve intestinal health. Certain types of bacteria have been linked in multiple studies to improving athletic and endurance performance. Harvard University boston marathon runner Connecticut Jackson Institute for Genomic Medicine About Elite Cyclists.
Sitting on stools in their comfortable studio, Dan and Cie ponder this troubling discovery, wondering whether fecal transplants will be considered an acceptable way to improve people’s quality of life, or whether fecal transplants will be considered an acceptable way to improve people’s quality of life, or if it’s a sign of cheating/doping in cycling. Consider what would be considered a blatant example. Which side of the fence do you fall on? Let us know in the comments below.

Mike West’s homemade keyboard for indoor training
Mike, from Sussex, is rather proud of his efforts to simplify the indoor training experience. He attached a mini-keyboard to his Garmin mount that acts as a music track changer, touchpad, and keyboard. And all of that at just 14.49 pounds.
David’s creative storage method
David of Whitley Bay doesn’t take half measures when it comes to maintenance storage. “I converted a used CO2 cartridge into a storage container for tire plug spares and patches. I cut off the bottom end of the cartridge and inserted the old CO2 cartridge into the bar end. This all came with a pump along with a full cartridge and plug tool. It fits in the steering wheel, so everything you need for your tires is in one place.”
Robert disconnects his Garmin without any problems.
The following entry is from Robert. His family owns a large fleet of bikes and quickly runs out of storage solutions for all the kit, equipment and devices that come with them. However, there is no need to worry. Robert plans to manufacture a smart Garmin wall holder for his computer collection.
Robert created both a display home and storage solution for his computer using scrap wood and Garmin holder inserts sourced from a notorious, if not official, online cycling website.
American Dan creates a very light display
This week’s final participant was from St. Charles, Illinois, and Dan continued with a short but sweet introduction. “I made a hanging light using an old wheel with a 10-speed hub and some leftover parts from a pendant light project.”
