Handheld game consoles are no longer a Nintendo monopoly. PC gaming is entering the mobile industry with competition from Valve and ASUS. Valve’s Steam Deck was the best budget option available until earlier this summer, when ASUS released the ASUS ROG Ally Z1, a cheaper version of the more powerful ASUS ROG Ally Z1 Extreme. And now the ASUS ROG Ally Z1 has gotten a big discount from Best Buy, making it a little more budget-friendly. Asus ROG Ally Z1 is available at the following prices: $399.99 (originally $599.99), matching the previous lowest price set after Cyber Monday. Honey price history.
An affordable option for PC gamers on the go
The ASUS ROG Ally Z1 is a great choice for PC gamers who are comfortable with Windows systems and want a budget-friendly way to play games. The ASUS ROG Ally Z1 has limited processing power and graphics, but it’s cheaper than budget gaming laptops. Don’t expect to be able to play all AAA smoothly without some issues. Most large AAA games require a full-sized desktop or gaming laptop to run successfully. You can play some games on the ASUS ROG Ally Z1, but you’ll have to accept playing at lower frames per second to run them. This may be difficult to do if you are new to the Windows 11 operating system.
The ASUS ROG Ally Z1 features 512GB of memory with a microSD memory card slot if you want to expand, an AMD Ryzen Z1 processor, 16GB RAM, and a 7-inch touchscreen LED with a maximum video resolution of 1080p. The rechargeable battery lasts approximately 8 and a half hours.
