YouTube is redesigning its smart TV app to increase interactivity between people and their favorite channels.
In a recent blog post, YouTube explained how the updated UI will shrink the main video a bit to make room for the information columns that store the video’s views, likes, description, and comments. From there, the user is directed to a web page where they complete the transaction. We reached out to YouTube to double-check, and a company representative confirmed that’s how it works.
