Subway users will have to make other plans this weekend if their trip includes any portion of Line 1.
According to the TTC, subway service between St. George and St. Andrew stations has been suspended due to track and station renovations. The transit agency announced that there will be no shuttle bus service due to ongoing construction on surface routes impacting the consistency of shuttle service.
Instead, the TTC plans to increase service on the university side of Line 1. Customers have the option of boarding the 510 Spadina Streetcar at Spadina Station and transferring to eastbound service connecting at College Street (506 Carlton Streetcar) and Dundas Street (505 Dundas Streetcar). , Queen Street (501 Queen replacement bus), or King Street (504 King).
Customers who wish to continue south on the subway should exit at St. George Station and take the Line 2 eastbound Bloor-Danforth train to Bloor-Young Station, then transfer again to the Line 1 southbound train.
On the Yonge side of the subway line, go westbound at Wellesley (94 Wellesley), College (506 Carlton streetcar), Dundas (505 Dundas streetcar), Queen (501B Queen on Church St.), or King. You can connect. Station (504 King Streetcar).
Additional Wheel-Trans vehicles will be available in the downtown core for customers who require accessible connections at stations that may not be accessible.
Subway service is expected to resume by 6 a.m. Monday.
