One of The Walking Dead’s stars will be in town this November, drinking whiskey at Crown and Thieves.
Actor Michael Cudlitz, known for his roles in The Walking Dead series, Band of Brothers, and Lois & Clark, will be at the Crown and Thieves bar in West Kelowna on Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. Appear.
The award-winning actor and whiskey and cigar enthusiast met local filmmaker Norm Coyne at a Comic-Con event, where the two bonded and came up with the idea of hosting an event in West Kelowna. I came up with this.
“Conversations like that always take on a life of their own. Cudlitz started telling me about a human smuggling chain that he owns, so I thought this guy had to meet Jason Parks,” Coyne said. I did.
Crown and Thieves Winery owner Jason Parks has been toying with the idea of a series of meet-and-greets after collaborating with Coyne and Lou Ferrigno on a Louis XIII cognac tasting last November. Evan Williams, Elijah Craig, Larceny, Yellowstone and more are all the stars in the mix for next month’s event.
“Norm and I had already talked about doing a bourbon tasting with a twist. This was the perfect opportunity for us to connect the dots to create a truly unforgettable experience.” says Parks.
Clowns and Thieves will be familiar to Cudlitz, who is one of the owners of Red Phone Booths, 1920s Prohibition-era bootlegging venues in Atlanta, Nashville, Miami and other parts of the country.
