Joan Vasos looks back at her golden bachelor experience. The 60-year-old private school administrator took to her Instagram Stories to discuss her relationship chances after deciding to leave her show to help her daughter, who she recently gave birth to. “Thank you so much to everyone for your concern for my family,” Joanne wrote. “It’s an honor to be a mother to four wonderful children and a grandmother to two beautiful grandchildren (they call me Jojo). But once you become a mother… I’ve always been a mother and sometimes finding love just doesn’t work out at the right time.”
“Everyone is doing well at home. I hope we will get another chance at love someday,” she added.
Joan also expressed her love for her fellow contestants, writing, “I’m so lucky to be surrounded by such kind and supportive women.”

“My daughter just had a baby. It wasn’t a normal everyday birth at all. Sometimes things can go wrong. Even if everything goes well, you need a mother,” she told the cameras. “My family always comes first. Once you’re a mother, even when your children grow up, you’re always a mother. Nothing is more important than that.”
After breaking the news to the women and admitting she was “heartbroken” by the decision, Joan told Jerry about her impending departure.
“For the first time, I imagined living with someone else. It was really amazing. Honestly, my heart was healed,” she told him. “…As much as I don’t want to leave and as much as I don’t want to be away from the journey, I have to be a parent and I have to get home to my kids.”
Although Jerry was understanding, he told Joan that he was clearly “disappointed.”
Jerry cried as Joan was about to leave, and was similarly emotional, telling the camera: “My heart may have healed a little because of Jerry.
