Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is official and powers the flagship killer of 2024. 8s Gen 3 delivers selected premium Snapdragon features without the cost of the premium 8 Gen 2 and 8 Gen 3 chips. The 8s Gen 3 is a 4nm chip with a Cortex-X4 prime core at 3.0 GHz, four performance cores at 2.8 GHz, and three efficiency cores at 2.0 GHz. Supports up to 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM (up to 4,200MHz) and UFS 4.0 storage.
As for connectivity, it runs USB 3.1 Gen 2 over USB-C. Generative AI is at the forefront, as new applications are gaining huge popularity, but new challenges are also emerging. The 8s chip can run the most popular models such as Llama 2, Baichuan-7B, and Gemini Nano (Pixel 8 owners recently noticed that their phones can’t run Gemini Nano. is one of the new issues we mentioned). Models with up to 10 billion parameters are supported. The s model isn’t as fast as the 8 Gen 3 task, but it stands out from the older 8 Gen 2 with on-device AI support.
One of the first phones with the new chip is the Motorola Edge 50 Pro (Edge+ 2024 in the US). It features a 6.7-inch screen with Full HD+ resolution and 165Hz refresh rate, 12GB RAM, and up to 512GB of storage. Expected to arrive on April 3rd.

The phone will also be launched as X50 Ultra or Edge+ (2024) and will go on sale on April 3rd.

Transition to iPhone 16 series. All four of his iPhone 16 models feature thinner bezels. Reportedly, Apple discovered a way to shrink bezels and all his display suppliers were able to adopt the technology. As Apple increases screen size from 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches to 6.27 inches and 6.85 inches to make phones bigger, reducing bezels could make the size jump smaller than before.
Apple also released a video explaining how the iPhone 15’s base 128GB is “a lot of storage for lots of photos.” Watch the video. And see you in a week!
