tesla SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has quickly become one of Donald Trump’s biggest political donors and has now emerged as one of the Republican presidential candidate’s most high-profile surrogates.
Musk, the world’s richest man, has donated nearly $75 million to America PAC, the super political action committee he founded earlier this year primarily to support President Trump. Filings to the Federal Election Commission reveal. Nearly $72 million of that has already been spent, according to disclosure reports.
All of the group’s huge profits came in the third quarter, from July to September. Musk is the only contributor listed during this period.
The PAC, which was formed in late May, has so far reported spending a total of $102 million on the presidential campaign, according to FEC filings.
But unlike most super PACs, America PAC doesn’t spend money securing expensive TV airtime to run ads. Instead, the group’s filings show it pays recruiters and funds direct mail, text messages and phone banking.

Meanwhile, Musk announced overnight that he would embark on a multi-day speaking tour of the social media site X, which he acquired for $44 billion in 2022, through Pennsylvania, a critical battleground state for the president.
“Starting tomorrow night and continuing through Monday, I will be giving a series of talks across Pennsylvania,” Musk wrote at 12:26 a.m. ET on Wednesday.
“If you want to attend my talk, there is no fee to attend. All you have to do is sign our petition supporting free speech and the right to bear arms and vote in this election,” he wrote. Ta.
Musk added: “To be clear, we need to vote in Pennsylvania.”
The petition asks signers to provide personal contact information, including name, mobile phone number, email address, and mailing address. This voter information is invaluable to campaigns and political groups, who use it to hone their advertising and get-out-the-vote efforts.
Further details about the incident were not immediately available. Emails sent to Musk and his associates were not immediately returned.
The two headlines underscore Musk’s shift to the political right and further intensification of Trump’s efforts to defeat Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.
Musk publicly announced his support for President Trump on July 13, minutes after the former president survived an assassination attempt at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.
When President Trump returned to the location for another rally in early October, Musk also took to the stage wearing a black “Make America Great Again” hat and enthusiastically described himself as a “dark MAGA.” declared.
In an interview last week on former Fox News opinion host Tucker Carlson’s “X,” Musk said he created America PAC “to really support the core values that I believe in.” He said that.
He listed a number of broad terms, including free speech, safe cities and “self-defense,” which he called “very clear centrist positions.”
