Microsoft is developing a new network card that could improve the performance of its Maia AI server chips and reduce the chip designer’s dependence on Nvidia, the Information reported on Tuesday.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has appointed Pradeep Sindhu, co-founder of network equipment developer Juniper Networks, to spearhead the network card effort, the report said, citing people familiar with the matter. Reported.
