TL;DR
- The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra has appeared in what appears to be a leaked marketing video.
- The phone features a curved display panel, bucking the flat panel trend of current flagship phones.
- The device is likely to launch on April 3rd along with the Motorola Edge 30 Pro.
Motorola could possibly have three new phones ready for release on April 3rd. This global launch event will be held for the first time in India and will introduce the company’s new Edge 50 lineup to the world. Motorola is currently promoting the Edge 50 Pro in a big way, but the star of the show could be the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, a flagship phone powered by his new Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 platform. The device may later be launched in the US as Edge Plus (2024).
After a leak revealed the design and specs of the so-called Edge 50 Ultra last week, tipsters Evan Blass has joined X (formerly Twitter) to share a short marketing clip of the device, showing it more clearly. Watch the video below.
As you can see, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra ditches the trendy flat panels seen on recent flagships in favor of a curved display. The top and bottom bezels are slim and the corners are neatly rounded. One of the videos shows that the phone will feature stereo sound, and the other suggests his IP68 or other level of water resistance.
Blass did not talk about the phone’s specifications, but previous leaks revealed that it will feature three rear cameras using a 50MP sensor, including a 75mm periscope lens with 5x optical zoom. I did.

The phone will be available in three colors – Pantone’s Color of 2024, Peach Fuzz, Black, and Brushed finish. It should run Android 14 and provide three years of updates.
Previously, it was thought that the next Edge 50 Pro would be Motorola’s flagship phone this year. However, it is expected to come with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, making the Edge 50 Ultra the more premium of his two devices. It remains to be seen if Motorola has more flagship phones planned for launch in the US, or if the Edge 50 Ultra will arrive in the US under the name Edge Plus (2024).
