Vice President Kamala Harris went all out in her sex positivity interview.”please call her dad” podcast aired on Sunday.
Democratic presidential candidate Harris spent much of the roughly 40-minute conversation making the case against Donald Trump, slamming the Republican candidate’s record on abortion and women’s rights.
“There are currently 20 states where President Trump has banned abortion,” Harris told “Call Dad” host Alex Cooper. “This is the same man who said women should be punished for having an abortion.”
In 2022, three Supreme Court justices appointed by President Trump during his presidency were part of the majority that overturned Roe v. Wade, which had held the federal government had a right to abortion for half a century. The decision allowed states to restrict or allow abortions as needed.
The podcast “Call Her Daddy” is popular primarily with young women, a demographic in which Harris already enjoys strong support.
But Cooper points out that the podcast typically doesn’t cover political topics.
“I know I have a very diverse audience when it comes to politics, so my goal today is to get your support,” Cooper said on the podcast before beginning his interview with Harris. “I want you to hear this is not about changing political parties,” he said on the podcast.
Ms. Harris’ appearance on “Call Her Daddy” is part of a massive media storm her campaign is planning for next week, an attempt to keep Mr. Trump out of the news cycle.
Early Sunday morning, President Trump’s wife, former first lady Melania Trump, bucked the Republican Party’s line by emphasizing her pro-choice abortion stance in an interview with Fox News.
