The mistake highlights the need for EU lawmakers to remain in Brussels for the monthly four-day plenary session in Strasbourg in eastern France, near the German border, and to cancel regular train journeys that take nearly four hours. Some people tweeted that they did.
“Is a new Disneyland a suitable use for a building in Strasbourg?” asked Pere Herzen, press aide to Danish parliamentarians, pondering what would happen to the European Parliament if they settled permanently in Brussels. Asked.
“And could this be the inspiration for a Disney movie?” he asked, alluding to a story about Congress and a train that “wanted to go on vacation.”
Unfortunately, the stop at Disneyland Paris was too short for the lawmakers to get off and enjoy the park’s rides.
This was announced by the French railway company SNCF. AFP The train was delayed for 45 minutes as it approached the greater Paris area due to a signal error on the tracks, causing it to miss its scheduled link.
Eventually they were put back on the correct high-speed course for Strasbourg.
