Elon Musk will appear at an emergency court hearing in Philadelphia on Thursday morning to address the city’s top prosecutor’s move to block the case. tesla A judge ordered Wednesday to prevent the CEO and his political action committee from continuing to award $1 million in cash prizes to registered voters in the battleground state of Pennsylvania.

Hours after the filing, Forietta moved up the once-a-day public hearing at City Hall to Thursday morning.
“All parties must be present at the hearing,” Folietta wrote in the Philadelphia County Civil Court order.
Krasner’s lawsuit accuses Musk and America PAC of running an illegal lottery and trying to influence voters in the presidential election between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Trump.
Musk, his lawyers and his PAC did not immediately respond to requests for comment from CNBC.
Krasner’s lawyers said in the lawsuit that America PAC did not publish clear lottery rules or say how it would protect participants’ personal information, making the lottery “unprofitable” for consumers. He said it was “deceptive”.
The complaint also says, “Mr. Musk says the selection of winners was ‘random,’ which is false because multiple winners chosen were individuals who showed up at Mr. Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania. “It looks like it,” he claims.
The post on X, which included information about Mr. Krasner’s address, had been removed from the platform as of Wednesday afternoon.
