A popular franchise offering plant-based foods and healthy drinks has closed in Mississauga.
Fresh Kitchen and Juice Bar, located at 5031 Hurontario St., ceased operations Dec. 13.
Founded in 1991, the restaurant began as a juice bar in Toronto’s Queen West neighborhood. Now, we’ve expanded to include a diverse menu, emphasizing that all items are created in-house daily based on original recipes using whole, natural ingredients.
Breakfast includes dishes such as almond butter French toast, toast with smashed avocado, and yogurt and granola bowls.
Lunch and dinner meal options consist of burgers, wraps, salads, tacos, fire, avocado, chickpeas, tofu steak, salad greens, microgreens, toasted mixed nuts, tomatoes, green onions, powerhouse sauce, and lemon. Includes a powerhouse-like bowl.
A crowd favorite is the vegan barbecue ranch burger, which has smoked provolone cheese, quinoa, barbecue sauce, ranch, avocado, tomato, heritage blend lettuce, and onion rings sandwiched between grain burgers.
Freshly squeezed juices are made to order, and our fresh fruit and vegetable juices are one of our most popular blends called Green 2.0. This drink contains kale, spinach, parsley, celery, lemon, apple, ginger, and cayenne pepper.
The menu also includes power shakes such as the Galaxy, which includes passion fruit, mango, oat milk, banana, orange and lemon. Homemade sparkling lemonade and fresh ginger ale options are also available.
After closing, the restaurant did not notify customers through its main website or social media pages. The reason for the closure is also unknown. However, Google indicates that the Mississauga store is permanently closed and that any attempts to contact the number will be marked as disconnected.
The status of the Mississauga store remains unclear, and it has not been confirmed whether it has been temporarily closed and relocated within the city.
Currently, Fresh Kitchen and Juice Bar can be found in various locations across the GTA, including Oakville and Etobicoke.
