A fire has destroyed the Los Angeles mansion owned by British model and actress Cara Delevingne.
The 31-year-old was currently starring in a production in London’s West End and was not present.
Photos show huge flames shooting up from the roof of a luxury home, followed by blackened, smoldering ruins.
Delevingne posted on Instagram that she was “heartbroken” when she thought her two cats had died in the fire.
“Life can change in the blink of an eye, so cherish what you have,” she said.
But later she shared the good news with her 42 million followers that the cats survived the fire, writing: “They’re alive! Thank you to all the firefighters.”
A two-story compound in the hills of Studio City, northwest of Hollywood, was gutted and two people were injured. The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) said the firefighter was taken to the hospital in stable condition and one resident suffered mild smoke inhalation.
Firefighters were called to 911 at around 4am local time (11am GMT) on Friday.

94 firefighters were called to the scene and it took more than two hours to extinguish the fire.
Residents in the area were evacuated as the BBC’s US partner fire brigade worked to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to other homes. CBS News reported.
Fire chiefs said an investigation was underway to determine the cause of the fire.
“From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank all the firefighters and people who came to help,” Delevingne said.
The actress, who made her stage debut as Sally Bowles in Cabaret at London’s Kit Kat Club this week, reportedly bought the house in 2019.
