Air Canada can now add the soap opera star to its list of famous passengers it has called out on social media.
the young and the restless Actor Eric Braeden went on a rant Monday to X about his son’s recent experience with a major Canadian airline, calling it “bad advertising for your country!!!”
“Air Canada is a terrible airline with overbearing staff and mediocre service!” his post begins.
The actor said his son was at Toronto Pearson Airport to catch a flight to Florida.
“He arrived in plenty of time to load. They told him it took 3 hours, of course he asked why it took so long!!” reads the post.
After passing through U.S. customs, Braden said his son had less than three hours to load his luggage before he learned that customs officials had told him the luggage was already on the plane.
Apparently, the Air Canada gate staff wouldn’t let my son board the plane.
“They refused because he wasn’t there just 3 hours ago! Then he went to customer service and was met with a very rude B**CH!!” read the post Masu.
Air Canada is a terrible airline with overbearing staff and mediocre service. My son was just at the Toronto airport and wanted to leave for Florida. He had gotten there in plenty of time to load his luggage. They told him it took 3 hours to do so, obviously he asked why it took so long!

In a follow-up post to X, Braden clarified that he loves coming to Canada and that his criticism lies with Air Canada.
“I love coming to your country and have been all over Canada and have been for over 40 years and have only met very friendly people. But Air Canada is just not possible. ” reads the post.
“Haphazard service! That being said, that’s the problem with many “privatized” companies! ”
Let me be clear! I love coming to your country, have been all over Canada and have been for over 40 years, and have only met so friendly people. But Air Canada is not a possibility. Haphazard service and more! That being said, it’s a lot of trouble…

He then made another post making it clear that he would never use his stardom to take advantage of a situation.
“Never take advantage of being a somewhat familiar face, never! But if you come at me in a bossy or disrespectful manner, I don’t care who you are. will chase you!” reads the post.
My remarks about AC obviously caused a lot of reactions. Let me be clear: from an early age, I was raised to be polite to people from all walks of life. Never took advantage of being a somewhat familiar face, never! But you approach me in a bossy and rude manner…

Many Air Canada customers responded to his initial post with similar frustrating stories.
I flew Air Canada from Washington DC to Vancouver. Please don’t do it again!!! Worst flight ever. The seats were very narrow and uncomfortable.

I think this is very unfortunate. I’m so sorry that this happened to your son. The same thing happened when I was flying to Ottawa to see his son. I missed my grandson’s birthday. #AirCanada It’s the worst! ! !

Canadians also voiced their disappointment.
Eric, as we Canadians know, and unfortunately you all know, Air Canada’s motto is, “We’re not satisfied unless you’re satisfied.”

Some said Braden had a right.
I smell a strong sense of entitlement here.
